The new season gets underway this weekend and I believe we are in for an all-timer campaign (even though we say that every year). The league's quality has improved over the summer, and I'll highlight my season predictions below, and in January we will go over them.
League Standings
1. Manchester City: There is not much to say really, treble winners and a three-peat last season. They are the team to beat and unless they let it slip, I see them winning 4 in 4 years.
2. Arsenal: After a positive summer with new signings Arsenal look like they are ready to challenge again and hopefully get over the line this time. I expect Arsenal to chase City down until the end this season and if City do not live up to expectations, I see Arsenal winning it.
3. Manchester United: United had a good season last year and exceeded expectations, a trophy and top 4 finish was more than what United fans would’ve asked for in Ten Hag’s first season. United have addressed key areas of their squad, a new keeper, midfielder and striker and maybe a few more additions might see them as surprise challengers but with what they have they should finish 3rd again.
4. Liverpool: Despite Liverpool not addressing all their squad problems in the market I still believe that we’ll see a much-improved Liverpool team, the quality in their frontline is still evident and Alisson is still the best keeper in England, if they sign a midfielder or two and another defender before the window closes, they will definitely be up there.
5. Chelsea: This is probably my hot take of the season. I think we will see a different Chelsea to the one we saw last season. With a new coach, deadwood gone, younger players and a new direction with nothing to play for everything looks set for Chelsea to fly under the radar.
6. Tottenham: I really like Ange a lot, he is a brilliant coach and we are going to see a different Spurs side. A few more additions especially to their defense and they’ll be one of those teams you do not want to play against, but their success depends on if Kane stays or not and how they reinvest if he goes.
7. Newcastle United
8. Brighton
9. Aston Villa
10. Crystal Palace
11. Fulham
12. Brentford
13. Burnley
14. Bournemouth
